Give to Fuel a Movement this Holiday Season
Mom Congress
Do you believe in the power of moms, and that motherhood deserves its own AARP?
We do too. We believe it’s time for Mom Congress to GO BIG (and no we aren’t going to go home!) in 2021 as moms need us now more than ever to address critical issues on capitol hill, like access to safe and affordable child care, preventing preventable maternal deaths, and driving for societal support of motherhood.
We know this is possible, and we can’t do it without you. Please consider joining others just like you by donating to Mom Congress.
(Note that the federal CURES Act allows for an additional $300 tax write-off for charitable donations - read more below.)
You might also give a mom you know the gift of Mom Congress Membership. At just $45 you can feel good about giving a gift and powering a movement.
New membership includes:
A stainless steel water bottle
Discounts to Mom Congress events
An electronic membership badge to display
Access to the online member community
Thank you for believing in and investing in this movement!
Joy Burkhard, MBA, Mom of Two, Movement Maker
And the entire Mom Congress Leadership Team
More About the CARES Act & Charitable Deductions
In 2020, the Federal CARES Act expanded tax deductions for charitable giving - you can still claim a deduction of up to $300 in donations you make to charities like 2020 Mom.
If you do not itemize, the new law allows you to take up to a $300 charitable income tax deduction for cash donations made in 2020. The $300 tax deduction is in addition to the standard deduction.
The CARES Act also waived the requirement for retirees to take a Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) from their IRAs in 2020; as in years past, retirees can choose to make a charitable rollover from their IRA.
For more information on how this might apply to you and your charitable giving, we urge you to contact your tax advisor.
