“Marshall Plan for Moms” Resolution Introduced!

On the heels of the high-profile ad in the New York Times titled We Need A Marshall Plan for Moms from 50 prominent mothers and then again published in the Washington Post by 50 prominent male leaders, many of whom are fathers, a resolution has been introduced by congress.
It’s a critical first step to highlight the plight of mothers, by Congress and provides a framework for change.
The pillars of the Marshall Plan include:
Stabilizing and Improving Childcare
Paid Leave for Moms
Unemployment Insurance Expansion
And more...
Several steps were taken to support mothers in the American Rescue Plan which soon will head to the President for signature.

Mom Congress will be bringing the voices of moms who have been hard-hit by COVID to meet with Congress in the next 30 days to push for the Marshall Plan pillars.
