This Black History Month, We Honor the Black Women of Congress
Mom Congress
Did you know there are 25 Black women currently serving in U.S. Congress? We are featuring them in recognition of Black History Month - these women are MAKING history.
Many of them are leading key caucuses and committees including:
Joyce Beatty, chair of the Congressional Black Caucus,
Maxine Waters, chairwoman of the U.S. House Committee on Financial Services,
Barbara Lee, chair of the majority leader's Task Force on Poverty and Opportunity,
Bonnie Watson Coleman, Robin Kelly, and Yvette Clark who are the co-chairs of the Congressional Caucus on Black Women and Girls; and
Black Maternal Health Caucus co-founders Alma Adams and Lauren Underwood.
Consider retweeting from @mom_congress our messages to these congress members to thank them for their determination and leadership.
